What Is Algovex? The no-code platform for automated backtesting and algo trading.

What Is Algovex? Build, Backtest and Export Your Trading Strategies

Algovex is a platform for building, backtesting and exporting algorithmic trading strategies without writing code. Available at algovex.app, it helps traders turn their ideas into clear rules, test those rules against historical market data, and inspect how each trade happened.

You can build a strategy using a visual node editor or a simpler rule editor. Both represent the same strategy and stay in sync. When you want to take your logic further, Algovex supports code export to Python, Pine Script, JavaScript and TypeScript.

Created by Julien Wolff and published by tacticx Development GmbH in Germany, Algovex makes systematic trading more accessible while keeping the trader in control.

Algovex launches on 22 October 2026.

Turn a trading idea into rules you can test

A trading idea often starts with something you notice on a chart: a recurring breakout, a pullback into a price zone, or a change in momentum.

But an observation leaves questions unanswered.

What exactly counts as a breakout? Which conditions must be true before entering? Where does the stop go? When should the strategy stay out of the market?

Algovex gives you a way to define those decisions precisely. You combine entry conditions, filters, exits and risk rules into a strategy that can be tested consistently.

For example, a simple trend strategy might contain these rules:

  • Enter when a faster moving average crosses above a slower moving average.

  • Require an additional trend filter before opening a position.

  • Define a stop loss and an exit condition.

This example shows how an idea becomes testable. Whether the combination performs well is a separate question for the backtest.

Build without coding in two connected editors

Algovex gives you two ways to work with your strategy.

The Visual Editor lets you drag building blocks onto a canvas and connect them into a node graph. You can see how indicators, conditions and actions fit together, which helps when a strategy contains several interacting rules.

The Simple Editor presents the same logic as when / and / then rules. It provides a more direct starting point for traders who prefer reading conditions in sequence.

Both editors stay synchronized. Change the rules, and the graph follows. You can switch views whenever another format makes the logic easier to understand.

Go beyond basic indicator strategies

Algovex includes 370+ strategy nodes, covering technical indicators, price action, ICT and Smart Money Concepts, filters and exits.

These include:

  • Moving averages, RSI, MACD and Bollinger Bands.

  • Order blocks, fair value gaps, liquidity and market structure.

  • Entry filters, stop loss rules and exit conditions.

The full node library is included in both Free and Pro.

These components let you define the particular version of a setup you want to test. An order block strategy, for example, still needs clear rules for identifying a zone, accepting an entry and closing a position. Algovex helps you make those choices explicit.

Backtest your strategy and inspect every trade

Backtesting applies your rules to historical market data so you can examine how the strategy would have behaved under the assumptions of the simulation.

Algovex processes historical data bar by bar, with settings for spread, slippage and commission. Results include the equity curve, net profit and loss, win rate, profit factor, risk adjusted metrics and maximum drawdown.

The individual trades are just as useful as the summary.

Select a trade from the results, and the chart jumps to it. You can inspect its entry, stop and target alongside the indicators, levels, zones or market structure used by the strategy.

This helps answer a fundamental question: did the strategy do what you intended?

A result can look promising while an entry condition behaves differently from what you had in mind. Seeing the trades gives you a way to check the logic before drawing conclusions from the numbers.

Test across markets and historical periods

Algovex supports backtesting across 45 symbols covering forex, metals, oil, indices and crypto.

Pro provides historical data at a resolution of one minute, with up to 25 years of history depending on the instrument. The Free plan provides backtesting on 15 minute bars over the last six months.

A longer history gives you more opportunities to examine a strategy under different conditions. Algovex also includes walk forward analysis to evaluate performance across successive historical windows, and prop firm testing to simulate strategy results against challenge rules.

These tools help you investigate how sensitive a result is to the period, parameters and assumptions you choose. Historical performance does not guarantee future results.

Export your strategy as code

With Pro, you can export strategy logic to:

  • Python

  • Pine Script

  • JavaScript

  • TypeScript

This gives you a path from visual strategy design to code you can inspect, download and adapt. Running exported code in another environment may require setup and validation specific to that platform.

The Free plan includes strategy export as JSON.

Define your rules, test them, inspect their behavior, then export when you are ready to work with the code.

Who is Algovex for?

Algovex is designed for traders who want to develop systematic strategies without having to program every condition themselves.

That includes discretionary traders who want to test a recurring setup, ICT and Smart Money traders who want to formalize chart concepts, and developers who prefer to prototype visually before working with exported code.

You bring the trading idea and decide the rules. Algovex provides the tools to build and examine them.

Does Algovex use AI?

At launch, Algovex focuses on the Visual Editor, Simple Editor, backtesting and code export. You can build strategies without AI.

An optional AI strategy generator beta is planned for November 2026. It is intended to turn a written strategy description into a draft graph that you can review and edit.

You will still be able to inspect the rules, change them and test their behavior.

Get started with Algovex

Algovex brings strategy building, historical testing, visual trade inspection and code export into one workflow.

If you have a trading idea you want to examine more carefully, start by defining what must happen before an entry and what must happen afterward. Those decisions are the foundation of a testable strategy.
