Data

Data Sources & Attribution

The third-party market and macro data providers Algovex uses, and the attribution each one requires.

Last updated: 2026-06-26

Overview

Where our data comes from

Algovex combines data from several third-party providers to power its indicators, macro nodes and charts. We credit each source as required by its terms of use. On-chain and premium data, once those nodes are available, will be accessed with your own API keys (BYO key) and governed by your agreement with that provider.

Macro

FRED: Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis

Macro-economic series are retrieved from FRED.

Source: FRED, Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, fred.stlouisfed.org. Data is used in accordance with the FRED® API Terms of Use. FRED® is a registered trademark of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis; Algovex is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Federal Reserve.

Index

S&P 500

The S&P 500 reference (used by the intermarket and macro-correlation nodes) is sourced as a daily close from HistData.com (SPXUSD), the same source as the FX and gold references and used under its terms. It is a market representation of the S&P 500 and is not the official S&P Dow Jones Indices index feed.

Crypto

CoinGecko

Cryptocurrency market data (prices, market metrics) is provided by CoinGecko.

Powered by CoinGecko API.

Crypto derivatives

Coinalyze

Crypto-futures metrics (funding rate, open interest, long/short ratio, liquidations) are provided by Coinalyze.

Data from Coinalyze.

FX, Gold & Indices

HistData.com

Historical foreign-exchange, gold and stock-index (e.g. S&P 500 / SPXUSD) tick/candle data is sourced from HistData.com and used under its terms.

Source: HistData.com.

BYO key

Your own provider keys (incl. futures order-flow, once available)

Some premium nodes, and all futures order-flow data once order-flow nodes become available, run on API keys or subscriptions you supply (e.g. Glassnode, Databento, dxFeed). That data is delivered directly under your own account and is subject to your agreement and billing with the respective provider.

You are the licensee. For exchange-licensed market data (for example CME futures via Databento or dxFeed), any exchange or distribution fees are charged to you by your provider under your licence. Algovex is the software you use to visualise and analyse data you are entitled to, not a redistributor of that data. Your keys are stored encrypted and are never shared.
