About Algovex

What is Algovex?

Algovex is a visual, no code platform for building, backtesting and exporting algorithmic trading strategies. You assemble your logic from a library of 370+ nodes (indicators, chart patterns, volume profile and VWAP, Smart Money and ICT concepts, filters and exits and more) on a canvas, test it on historical data, and export the result as code, without writing any yourself.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Strategies are built by connecting nodes on a canvas in the Visual Editor, or by writing when / and / then rules in the Simple Editor. Code export is there if you want it, but it is never required to build, test or use a strategy.

Who is Algovex for?

Two kinds of trader. Discretionary traders who want to turn a setup that works into a systematic, repeatable strategy, and systematic traders who want to prototype and backtest quickly without scripting. Beginners lean on the Simple Editor and the visual builder; advanced users go deep with the node library and code export.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The free tier lets you build and backtest strategies at no cost. The Pro plan raises the limits and unlocks advanced features when you need them.

Building strategies

What are nodes?

Nodes are the building blocks of a strategy: indicators, entry and exit conditions, chart patterns, volume profile and VWAP, Smart Money and ICT concepts, macro signals, filters and risk logic. You drop them onto the canvas and wire them together to express your rules. There are 370+ nodes across 40+ categories.

Can I generate a strategy with AI?

Not at launch. An optional AI strategy generator is planned as a beta for November 2026. At launch you build strategies yourself in the Visual Editor or the Simple Editor.

What is Chart Extraction?

Chart Extraction draws any node, or a full strategy, directly on the chart, trade by trade, in candlestick and oscillator panes. It lets you see exactly how a node behaves before you trust it, so you can confirm that, say, an order block or a liquidity sweep fires where you would actually mark it.

Can I edit a template strategy?

Yes. Everything on the canvas is editable. Templates are starting points, not black boxes. Every node, parameter and connection is yours to change.

Backtesting & validation

Can I backtest my strategy?

Yes. Algovex runs a real bar by bar backtest and reports profit and loss, win rate, Sharpe and Sortino ratios, maximum drawdown and an equity curve, so you can judge a strategy on evidence rather than a hunch.

Is the backtest realistic?

It models slippage and commissions, so results are not a frictionless fantasy. You set the assumptions to match your instrument and broker, and the engine applies them bar by bar.

How do I know a node does what it claims?

Render it with Chart Extraction. The same calculation drives both the chart and the strategy engine, so what you see drawn on the chart is exactly what your strategy trades on. There is no separate, display only approximation that can quietly disagree with the logic.

Indicators, concepts & coverage

What does the node library cover?

A lot. 370+ nodes across 40+ categories: classic indicators (trend, momentum, volatility), chart patterns and Fibonacci tools, volume profile and VWAP, Smart Money and ICT concepts, macro and intermarket signals, plus the filters, math, logic and risk nodes that tie a strategy together. You pick whichever fit your edge.

Does Algovex support ICT and Smart Money Concepts?

Yes. Order blocks, fair value gaps, liquidity sweeps, equal highs and lows, breaks of structure, Power of Three and more are built in as stateful detectors you can both visualize and backtest. They are one part of a much wider library, not the whole of it.

Can I analyse volume and order flow?

Volume profile and VWAP nodes work on standard OHLCV data and are available at launch. The deeper order flow tools (footprint, DOM and liquidity heatmaps) are not part of the launch: order-flow and market-depth nodes are on the roadmap, without a date.

What about macro, forex and intermarket data?

Algovex includes macro and intermarket nodes: correlations and sector rotation, COT positioning, seasonality and forex specific signals, so a strategy can react to the wider market context, not just the chart in front of it.

Data

What market data is included?

45 symbols across forex, metals, oil, indices and crypto, all with 1 minute OHLCV history. Pro reaches up to 25 years of history; the free plan backtests on 15 minute bars over the last 6 months. Stocks, ETFs, futures and Level 2 data are not included.

What needs my own data key?

Nothing at launch. The market data for every supported symbol is included, with no external provider or API key required.

When can I use Level 2 and order flow data?

Not at launch. Level 2 data is not available, and the footprint, DOM and heatmap nodes are not part of the launch library. Order-flow and market-depth nodes are on the roadmap, without a date.

Export, markets & live trading

Can I export my strategy to code?

Yes. Algovex exports your strategy logic to Python, Pine Script, JavaScript/TypeScript and portable JSON, so you can run it in whichever environment you prefer.

What markets and assets are supported?

Forex, metals, oil, indices and crypto: 45 symbols with 1 minute historical data. Stocks, ETFs and futures are not available at launch, and order-flow nodes are on the roadmap.

Does Algovex do live trading?

No. Algovex launches without live trading. You can backtest, paper-trade and export the code; live trading is on the roadmap.

How is Algovex different from TradingView?

TradingView is excellent for charting and Pine Script. Algovex is built around composing, backtesting and exporting whole strategies without code: a visual node builder plus the Simple Editor and export to four languages, Pine Script included. Plenty of traders use both, side by side.

Plans & account

What plans are available?

A free tier to build and backtest, and a single Pro plan ($59/mo) for higher limits and advanced features. You can start on the free plan and upgrade only when you outgrow it.

Do I own my strategies?

Yes. Your strategies are your own. Algovex is a tool for building and testing trading logic. It does not claim your work, and it does not hand out trade signals as advice.

How do I get started?

Start free and open the builder. Either drag nodes onto the canvas in the Visual Editor or write when / and / then rules in the Simple Editor, then backtest, refine and export.

Still curious?

The fastest answer is the one you build yourself.

Spin up a strategy, run a backtest, watch it draw on the chart. Free.
