Algorithmic trading
Also known as: algo trading, automated trading, systematic trading
Algorithmic trading is the use of pre-programmed rules to automatically decide when to enter and exit trades, without manual discretion.
The rules can be based on technical indicators, price action, market structure, statistics or machine learning. Because the logic is explicit, it can be backtested on historical data and executed consistently. No-code platforms like Algovex let traders build these rule sets visually instead of writing code.
