Order block
Also known as: OB, ICT order block
An order block is the last opposing candle before a strong, structure-breaking move, treated as a zone where institutional orders entered the market.
A bullish order block is the last down-candle before a sharp rally; a bearish one is the last up-candle before a sharp drop. Traders expect price to return to and react from these zones. Order blocks are a core SMC/ICT concept and are often paired with fair value gaps.
