Scalping is a short-term trading style that takes many small profits from tiny price moves, holding positions for seconds to minutes.
Scalpers rely on tight spreads, fast execution and high win rates, since each trade targets only a few ticks or pips. Costs like spread and slippage matter enormously at this scale. Automation helps because the speed and repetition are hard to sustain manually.
