Bull market

Also known as: bullish, uptrend market

A bull market is a sustained period of rising prices and optimistic sentiment.

Bull markets favour trend-following and buy-the-dip approaches, as higher highs and higher lows persist. The term also describes a directional bias: a 'bullish' trader expects prices to rise.
