MACD

Also known as: moving average convergence divergence

MACD is a trend-following momentum indicator built from the difference between two moving averages, plotted with a signal line and a histogram.

Crossovers of the MACD line and signal line, zero-line crosses and divergence are its main signals. The histogram visualises momentum accelerating or fading. The classic settings are 12, 26 and 9.
