Candlestick Patterns nodes

18 Candlestick Patterns building blocks in the Algovex node library. Each is a node you can drop on the visual canvas, connect into a strategy, backtest and export. No code required.

  • Belt Hold

Detects Belt Hold (Yorikiri) pattern — a single strong candle that opens at its extreme and closes near the opposite, showing strong directional commitment.

  • Doji

Detects doji candlestick patterns (standard, long-legged, dragonfly, gravestone, four-price) where open and close are virtually equal, signalling indecision.

  • Engulfing

Detects bullish and bearish engulfing candlestick patterns where the second candle body completely engulfs the first.

  • Hammer

Detects hammer and inverted hammer candlestick patterns — bullish reversal signals with a long wick relative to a small body.

  • Hanging Man

Detects hanging man candlestick pattern — a bearish reversal signal with a long lower wick and small body at the top of the range, appearing after an uptrend.

  • Harami

Detects harami and harami cross candlestick patterns — a small candle contained within the body of the prior candle, signalling potential reversal.

  • Kicker

Detects the Kicker pattern — a powerful two-candle reversal where the second candle gaps past the first candle's open, signalling a violent sentiment shift.

  • Long Wick

Detects long wick rejection candles — upper wick (resistance rejection) or lower wick (support rejection) significantly longer than the body.

  • Marubozu

Detects marubozu candlestick patterns — high-conviction candles with long body and minimal wicks (Full, Opening, Closing variants).

  • Momentum Candle

Detects a momentum candle — a large-bodied candle with no wick on the open side (bullish: open = low; bearish: open = high). Emits the open as a persistent level line (openLevel) that you wire into a retest / price-based entry. A detector + level source, like an order block.

  • Morning / Evening Star

Detects morning star (bullish) and evening star (bearish) three-candle reversal patterns with configurable star body size, penetration, and gap requirements.

  • Piercing Line / Dark Cloud

Detects Piercing Line (bullish) and Dark Cloud Cover (bearish) two-candle reversal patterns where the second candle penetrates beyond the midpoint of the first.

  • Shooting Star

Detects shooting star candlestick pattern — a bearish reversal signal with a long upper wick and small body at the bottom of the range.

  • Spinning Top

Detects spinning top candlestick patterns — small body with roughly equal upper and lower wicks, indicating market indecision.

  • Three Inside Up/Down

Detects Three Inside Up (bullish) and Three Inside Down (bearish) — a confirmed Harami pattern where the third candle closes beyond the first.

  • Three Outside Up/Down

Detects Three Outside Up (bullish) and Three Outside Down (bearish) — a confirmed Engulfing pattern where the third candle continues in the reversal direction.

  • Three Soldiers / Crows

Detects Three White Soldiers (bullish) and Three Black Crows (bearish) — three consecutive strong candles with small upper/lower wicks.

  • Tweezer Top/Bottom

Detects tweezer top and tweezer bottom patterns — two consecutive candles with nearly identical highs or lows, signalling potential reversal.
