Other nodes
16 Other building blocks in the Algovex node library. Each is a node you can drop on the visual canvas, connect into a strategy, backtest and export. No code required.
Accumulation/Distribution Line (ADL)
Cumulative volume-weighted price with signal, divergence, breakout.
Auction Balance/Imbalance
Classifies each UTC trading day as BALANCED (rotational / range day) or IMBALANCED (directional / trend day) from the day's rotation factor — the share of bar-to-bar direction changes. Draws one colour-coded box per day spanning that day's range (slate = balanced, amber = imbalanced) across history, plus the in-progress day. Triggers fire when a day completes: on a state change vs the prior day, or on any imbalanced / balanced day.
Auction Day Type
Classifies each UTC trading day as a TREND day (strong directional expansion that closes near an extreme), a NEUTRAL day (compressed / balanced) or a NORMAL day, using the day's range-expansion ratio and close position. Draws one colour-coded box per day spanning that day's range (emerald = trend, slate = normal, amber = neutral) across history plus the in-progress day. Triggers fire when a day completes: on a type change vs the prior day, or on any trend / neutral day.
Auction Initial Balance
Marks the Initial Balance (IB) — the price range of the first N bars of each UTC trading day — for every day across history plus the in-progress day. Draws the IB opening-range box, extends IB high/low as the day's reference S/R, and (optionally) projects 1x IB extension targets. Triggers fire when price breaks beyond the IB (ib_break) or returns to test an IB extreme (ib_test).
Better Volume (Bar Classification)
Better Volume bar classification: tags each bar — relative to its rolling volume & spread averages — as climax (high volume + wide spread, a likely exhaustion turn), churn (high volume + narrow spread, absorption/indecision), or low-volume. Plots the volume ratio in its own pane with the classification / threshold / breakout / trend signals marked on the line.
Chaikin Money Flow (CMF)
Accumulation/distribution -1 to 1. Zero cross key signal.
Developing Value
The real-time complement to the Volume Profile node: builds the volume profile of the IN-PROGRESS period bar-by-bar and tracks the developing Point of Control (POC) AND the developing Value Area (VAH/VAL) as they form. Both migrate while the period fills, reading live fair value and value migration. Rendered like the Volume Profile node — every period draws as a green/red volume HISTOGRAM (completed periods span their period; the in-progress period is a compact profile pinned to the current/right edge, the developing-volume-profile convention) — and on top the current session's developing POC / VAH / VAL draw as ADAPTIVE evolving lines tracing how value built bar-by-bar, plus a frozen dimmed POC/VAH/VAL segment locked in at each completed period close (causal, non-repainting). Same period model and shared footprint-aware volume-profile core as the Volume Profile node.
Force Index
Price change times volume with signal, zero cross, divergence.
On Balance Volume (OBV)
On-Balance Volume — cumulative volume that adds volume on up-closes and subtracts on down-closes. Rising OBV confirms buying pressure; divergence between OBV and price warns of a weakening trend. Includes signal line, divergence, breakout and trend detection. Use as a trend-confirmation filter or divergence detector.
Profile Shape / Day Type
Classifies the SHAPE of each period's volume profile — the Auction Market Theory / Market Profile day-type read the rest of the volume-profile family does not cover. From the volume-by-price distribution: D-shape (balanced bell, mass in the middle = balance / rotation, neutral); P-shape (mass in the upper third, thin tail below = short-covering, bullish); b-shape (mass in the lower third, thin tail above = long-liquidation, bearish); B-shape (two stacked distributions / value areas with a relative valley between them = trend continuation; the value area holding the dominant POC leads — bottom-heavy, top-heavy or balanced); trend_thin (flat, no acceptance). Every period renders as a compact right-pinned green/red volume profile across history (so you SEE the shape), and every COMPLETED period gets a labeled shape badge at its end bar, frozen as it completed (causal, non-repainting); the in-progress period is classified live (scalar outputs + a badge at the right edge) and drives the trigger. Same UTC profilePeriod model and shared footprint-aware volume-profile core as the Volume Profile node.
TPO Value Area Migration
Tracks how the period TPO value area MIGRATES across consecutive COMPLETED periods — the faithful TPO (time-at-price) mirror of Volume Profile VA Migration. Identical machine: the UTC profilePeriod model (daily / weekly / monthly, or custom_bars blocks), the completed-period partition, the Dalton value-area relationship day-types (higher, overlapping_higher, unchanged, overlapping_lower, lower, inside = balance/compression, outside = range expansion), the migration direction + run length of consecutive same-direction steps, the POC MIGRATION PATH staircase and the trigger set — EXCEPT the per-price weight is the TPO time-bracket COUNT (each bar is one time bracket; a row's weight is the number of brackets that traded at the price), NOT traded volume, and every scored period renders as a real TPO letter/cell PROFILE (single-toned) across history (plus the developing one). Each period VA is a subtle box (VAL..VAH band) whose BORDER encodes the read: COLOR = migration step (green up, red down, grey balance, blue inside/coil, amber outside/expansion). Amber POC line per period (showPoc). The signature is the POC migration path — a step-line connecting consecutive period POCs, each segment colored by direction, so you see value stepping up or down.
Volume Breakout
Volume + price breakout with consecutive and close control.
Volume Oscillator
Short vs long volume EMA as a percentage: positive = short-term volume expanding above its longer average (a volume surge), negative = contracting (drying up). Signals on the zero-line cross and on the extreme expansion / contraction zones.
Volume Profile
Volume-at-price distribution rendered as horizontal histogram. Shows where volume concentrated at each price level. Configurable period: fixed bars, daily, weekly, monthly, or custom. Identifies POC, Value Area, High/Low Volume Nodes. Triggers reference a selectable profile (developing, previous completed, or all prior) and fire on POC interaction, value-area break, value-area rejection, LVN break, or HVN reaction; prior-profile levels persist forward and are consumed on interaction.
Volume Spike
Relative volume (current volume vs its lookback average): tiers each bar as a high / minor / major / extreme spike when volume runs this many times its average, and flags low (dry-up) volume. Fires on tier crossings with zone-event direction, plus breakout / trend of the relative-volume line.
VWAP
Standard session VWAP: Volume Weighted Average Price that resets at each session boundary (daily by default; weekly, monthly, or no-reset are also available), with N volume-weighted standard-deviation band pairs around the line. The unanchored institutional fair-value benchmark for the current session. For a never-resetting line measured from a chosen event use the Anchored VWAP node instead.
